First World Championships gold in skeleton mixed for the USA with Mystique Ro/Austin Florian

Silver for Stoecker/Weston from Great Britain ahead of Team China with Zhao/Lin

Lake Placid (RWH) Mystique Ro/Austin Florian as Team USA 1 are the 2025 World Champions in skeleton mixed team. One year before the team competition of the skeleton athletes will celebrate its Olympic debut at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games, the two US athletes secured the World Championship title at the IBSF 2025 World Championships in Lake Placid (USA) as the first US team to do so, cheered on by the home fans.

World Championships silver in the Skeleton Mixed event in Lake Placid went to Team Great Britain 1 with Tabitha Stoecker and Skeleton World Champion Matt Weston (0.10 seconds back), with Team China 1 with Dan Zhao/Lin Qinwei (0.28 seconds back) taking bronze. This was China's first World Championships medal in the new Olympic discipline of Skeleton Mixed.
